Every floor is only as good as its base. Levelling makes a concrete or screed floor flat; the right underlay dampens impact noise, absorbs small imperfections and, with underfloor heating, determines heat transfer. With glue-down vinyl especially, flatness is critical.
Expect € 10 to € 20 per m² for levelling and underlay work together — € 150 to € 1,000 for a complete job. A good quote itemises this preparation separately, so you compare quotes fairly.
